About Homes4Good

The rent for a Homes4Good property is set at 75% of market rent, or 30% of the household’s total income, which may also fall below market rent.  These levels of rent ensure that families have enough to live on after paying for their housing costs.  Tenant income limits apply to ensure that affordable rental opportunities are provided to the families who need them the most.

The tenants who will be placed in your property will be carefully selected to be suitable for your property, chosen from a waiting list that is created with upper income limit criteria to make sure that families who really need a helping hand can find housing.

Our first Homes4Good partner is Cornerstone Housing, a not-for-profit organisation with years of experience in property management.  Cornerstone will undertake all aspects of managing your property under this initiative.  Homes4Good takes the stress out of being a landlord and dealing with agents and Cornerstone Housing will even give you a reduced rate for their tenancy management services.  You will be notified of any maintenance needs which can be referred to Cornerstone’s trade contacts.

Our second Homes4Good partner is Turner Real Estate, another organisation with years of experience in property management.  Turner Real Estate will undertake all aspects of managing your property under this initiative.

Homes4Good landlords can take advantage of the South Australian affordable community housing land tax exemption pilot project.

Homes4Good is an initiative of Shelter SA, the peak body for housing in South Australia.  Shelter SA is a registered charity, not for profit, independent community organisation without any financial interest in Homes4Good.
